This project aims at creating foundations for general, timely and correct informing of the people with disabilities in the municipalities of Pirot County (these municipalities are Dimitrovgrad, Babušnica, Bela Palanka and Pirot) through active inclusion of the disabled in designing the content of broadcasting shows at local media and also at linking the relevant structures which would enable this process to become a sustainable and regular practice. The project also consists of 12 workshops aimed at educating the people with disabilities for designing broadcasting content related with the rights of the disabled, their issues and problems and successes they achieve and their life in the local community in general. This would contribute to changing the fact that the disabled are not very well familiar with their rights, which are not spoken about a lot or better to say at all, and this would motivate the disabled to use the media and public meetings for active advocating of implementation of the law which regulates their rights. Broadcasting the examples of good practice would empower this marginalized group and also strengthen their confidence. By making the problems of the disabled to stand out in the public would initiate consideration for methods for solving those problems and creating new ideas that can improve the existing acts for regulating the position of the disabled.
