On the initiative for making the Local Action Plan (LPA) for children from Bela Palanka on 30.03.2006th year one day training was held, organized by the Association “Djurdjevdan” under the patron of the Bela Palanka’s community, and in the realization of the activists of the Association “Fenix” from Pirot.

27 persons participated and the group was homogenous, consisted of teachers, parents of the handicapped children (only 5 of 15 came on the training), seventh grade primary school children and one representative from the local community self-management (representative from the centre for social work did not appear on the training)

The aims of the training were gathering information on problems of the handicapped children,how to solve these problems and who is competent to help in solving the problem.

During the workshops, with a little help from trainers and activists, the group gathered certain information, which will be used in making the Local Action Plan.

During the literally evening organized in the scope of Pirot’s cultural summer “ AGORA 2004”, members of the Association “FENIX” together with other unknown writers, presented short stories and poems written by them. Special impression was made when a blind poet read her poems on Braille alphabet.

With a humanitarian concert under the name “A dream that you dream when you are happy” organized by “FENIX” and under the patron of the Pirot’s cultural center, an action of gathering financial means for the operation in Russia for our five-year-old fellow townsman was successfully realized.

Children, members of “FENIX” took part in establishing children’s choir “Pirocance”.
