of the Handicapped Persons “Fenix” gives support to the handicapped
persons in informing them about their rights, and in the areas
of education, labour, access to the public institutions, in
removing the architectural barriers for more efficient integration
in the wide social community.
AIMS OF THE ASSOCIATION
Gathering the handicapped persons and informing them about
their rights and abilities;
Engagement in the realization of the basic human rights and
rights of the handicapped;
Inducing and realizing activities that emphasize the abilities
of the handicapped and contribute to the development of their
potentials, strengthening their personalities and social integration;
Influence on making right attitudes in the society in regards
to needs, rights and potentials of the handicapped;
Engagement in raising the public consciousness about the position
of the handicapped;
Engagement in providing the basic educational conditions for
the handicapped;
Engagement in making conditions for the organization of the
personal assistant service for the handicapped;
Preparation and the development of the abilities and interests
of the handicapped, in primary and high schools with the aim
to gain high education;
Integrated and special forms of high education such as long
distance learning;
Inducing the complete integration of the handicapped in the
all-social and economical areas, especially in the area of
education and labour;
Struggle against all forms of discrimination in the society.
ASSOTIATION
REALIZES ITS AIMS AND TASKS BY:
Collaboration and coordination
with other organizations in country and foreign countries
with the same aims;
Organizing counseling, symposiums, seminars and lectures on
independent life of the handicapped, and providing them proper
trainings;
Organizing and participating in exchanges and expert visits
to other organizations with related aims in country and abroad;
Engaging in making accessible surrounding, including actions
in removing the architectural and technical barriers;
publishing proper publications and cooperation with all means
of medias;
cooperation with socio-political, expert and other organizations,
communities and other legalities;
strengthening inner potentials of the organization;
other activities in cooperation with the Law in order to improve
the position of the handicapped.
